This study was conducted to evaluate the ammonia emission characteristics depend on outside temperature variation, from swine finishing barn installed with ground channel ventilation system. Because the temperatures of outside air were tempered in the ground channel before flowed into the swine barn, the seasonal differences in ventilation rate were not greater than the general levels. Therefore, cold weather ammonia emissions (62.4±9.4 g day-1 AU-1) were higher than those (54.8±6.3 g day-1 AU-1) of hot weather (p< 0.05), which result was different from the general trend. In the case of swine barn installed with temperature control system caused less ventilation rate differences during cold and hot weather, it is possible to improve the room air condition during cold weather and reduce the hot weather ammonia emissions.
